New Shoes

Anders has been walking around in leather slippers ever since...he learned to walk about a month ago. The shoes are great (Robeez--all the babies around here wear them), but he can't wear them outside because they instantly get wet.

So, on Monday, I got him some sweet new hard-soled shoes for outdoor wear. Only thing is, he's just not used to those not-very-flexible shoes. It's pretty hilarious to watch him try to walk around, picking each foot up much higher than necessary.

After an hour or so, he started to get the hang of them, so we headed out to the local park to give them a try. This was the first time we had walked outside on uneven ground. He fell several times and got all muddy, but for the most part he did great. Plus, he loved going down the slide which proved to be a good distracter from the pain and peril of falling.
