Tractors!

A couple weeks ago my awesome Uncle Steve sent the boys three boxes of tractors, dump trucks, excavators and other machinery. The boys were over the moon. They still are.

The fleet has moved from the living room to the sand box and the boys play with them every day.

Finn gets the red tractor.

Anders gets the green tractor. Uncle Steve was smart to send two of the same tractors.

Tractors, tractors everywhere and not a drop of dirt to scoop.

Giddy up!

Henry made this video of the boys riding Big H's horse, Sam. You can watch it if you want.

H also posted some photos from Glacier here and here. He's been busy.

Horsing around

This spring I took a horseback riding class at MSU (where I work). I was inspired to take the class by a story I was writing on MSU's equine science program.

You can take a look at that story here. Click on "More than belt buckles and saddles." There is also a YouTube link to the right of the story with a little video I made. Or you can watch it here, but read the story--it's much better than the video.

Here are some photos in a previous post of me and Kid.

The Story of Bottled Water

Yesterday I posted The Story of Stuff. The latest video from Annie Leonard is The Story of Bottled Water.

I promise to get back to photos of cute kids, adorable dogs, handsome husbands and pretty flowers soon. Just humor me by watching one more of these videos. Seriously, I need to be humored; I'm very sensitive.

The Story of Stuff

Have you seen this video, yet? It's all about the extraction, manufacturing and waste that goes into making our stuff. It's interesting, I promise.

This isn't to make anyone feel guilty--we all love stuff. But once in awhile it is good to think about what we are buying. Are we really going to use it? Does it make our life better/happier/more comfortable?

It's worth 21 minutes of your time. Or at least it was worth 21 minutes of my time.
