Easter
Henry posted some photos from our trip to Maryland. I put the link at the bottom so you'd have to look through all my photos first.
So you want to see pics from our Easter extravaganza? (Aren't you glad I didn't say eggstravaganza?)
Here's how the day went.
Too early: H gets up with the boys. I hear Anders lamenting that the Easter Bunny didn't come. I hop out of bed, tell them I am getting my phone out of the car. Quickly, I hide our 10 eggs and leave baskets on the porch. With much enthusiasm, I announce that I thought I saw an egg in the planter outside.

8:30am: The eggs have been found, pancakes eaten and the kitchen cleaned up. Now what? We make an impromptu trip to Chico Hot Springs and soak in the pool. The camera was not in attendance.
12:00pm: Home again. A little lunch and then we walked down to Sacajawea Park for the annual community egg hunt. It is freakin' cold and my hands hurt, but still lots of fun. Hundreds of eggs are scattered across the soccer fields. When the sirens on the firetruck screamed, hundreds of kids rush onto the grass and grab as many hard boiled eggs as they can. Anders came back with more than 20 eggs. Finn got two--he was too overwhelmed to pick them up, so I grabbed a couple before considering that we really didn't want all those eggs.

2:00pm: Home again. Finn naps. Anders goes in and out of his room enough times that I give up on his nap and let him watch the Polar Express.
5:30pm: A dinner of bunny and chick-shaped pasta with veggies. Fancy.

There are more pictures from Easter here.
And definitely check out Henry's photos from Maryland.
Frosty photos
A couple weeks ago we went to the Livingston Holiday Stroll. There were a couple places where you could get your picture taken with various holiday creatures: namely Frosty the Snowman and Santa Claus.
Frosty was a little creepy in person, but he looks pretty good on camera. Anders was not that into either experience, but did enjoy eating at the Mexican restaurant and the cookie he had while listening to the Polar Express. If you think he's food-driven you should meet Finn.
The photos were posted on the Chamber's website and they are a little small, but here you go.

Hunting trees
Last weekend we got our Christmas tree. After passing tons of elk hunters on the way out we found a gun-free location. When you have two boys and two dogs running around uncontrollably, guns aren't a good idea.
I think the pictures tell the story, so here you go.

Thanksgiving
Here are a few photos from our Thanksgiving brunch. Of course, we forgot to get the camera out until half the people left.

Pumpkin decorating
Back at the beginning of October we went to Rocky Creek Farm to have our apples pressed into cider. While we were there we let Anders pick out a pumpkin.
We festively set it on our front steps where it froze, thawed, froze and thawed again. Then it was a mushy lump.
While my mom was here we were going to go back to the pumpkin patch, but it was a cold, rainy day. And we ran out of time anyway.
I ended up buying our pumpkins at the grocery store. There were only two little ones left and one of them had a weird, rot scar. I bought them both.
We had to have pumpkins because H's sis, Susannah, sent us Mr. Potato Head decorating kits. Isn't she cool? We got two buckets of parts: eyes, mouths, hair, hats etc that, when artfully poked into a pumpkin, make a Mr. (or Ms.) Pumpkin Head clown and pirate. Much easier than carving.
